Thanks to AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, the speed of development has dramatically increased. However, PMs, developers, and designers in the industry will agree: no matter how fast coding gets, project schedules remain tight, and unexpected rework persists.

It’s as if they don’t realize that change is not trivial at all. Ultimately, the code created in three hours through AI goes back to square one due to that minor change. As the speed of development increases, the cost of rework due to poor planning becomes much more painful.
